What is included in the Benks iPhone Ultra case set?
The Benks iPhone Ultra protection set is a three-piece system: a front frame case that wraps the cover screen and outer edges, a tempered glass screen protector for the cover display, and a back panel case that protects the rear. The three pieces are designed to work together as a complete outer protection system for your iPhone Ultra, covering the cover screen, back panel, and outer frame in a slim, coordinated fit.
Does the Benks iPhone Ultra case protect the inner foldable screen?
The Benks case set covers the exterior of your iPhone Ultra — the cover screen, back panel, and outer frame. The inner foldable display is protected when the phone is closed by the front frame case, which shields the outer screen and keeps the folded device from taking direct impact. When the iPhone Ultra is open, the inner display is exposed, as with all book-style foldable cases. We strongly recommend pairing the case set with a quality inner screen film for complete protection.
Does the Benks iPhone Ultra case include hinge protection?
The first release of the Benks iPhone Ultra case set does not include a hinge guard. The front frame case and back panel case protect the outer body of the device. Hinge protection is on our roadmap — an updated version with reinforced hinge coverage is in development and will be available as a follow-up release. If hinge protection is your priority, we recommend checking back for the updated version.
Will the case affect how the iPhone Ultra folds and unfolds?
No. The Benks iPhone Ultra case set is precision-fitted to the device body so the front frame case and back panel case do not obstruct the folding mechanism. The cases are designed to separate cleanly at the hinge line, allowing the iPhone Ultra to open and close at its full range of motion without resistance or added friction. A case that interferes with the folding action puts stress on the hinge — the Benks set is engineered specifically to avoid this.
How does the Benks case protect the iPhone Ultra cover screen from drops?
The front frame case raises above the cover screen surface, creating a buffer between the display and flat surfaces when the phone is placed face-down. The tempered glass screen protector adds a sacrificial hard layer over the cover display — absorbing scratches and minor impacts before they reach the Ceramic Shield glass underneath. Together, the frame case and screen protector give the cover screen layered protection against everyday drops, pocket scratches, and surface contact.
Why does the iPhone Ultra need more protection than a standard iPhone?
The iPhone Ultra has two displays — a cover screen and a large inner foldable panel — plus a mechanical hinge, all of which create more vulnerability points than a standard slab iPhone. The inner foldable display uses ultra-thin flexible glass that is significantly more scratch-prone than the Ceramic Shield on a standard iPhone. A fingernail press, a grain of sand, or a sharp edge that would leave no mark on a standard iPhone can permanently damage a foldable panel. The cover screen and back panel face the same drop risks as any iPhone, with the added complication that damage to the outer body can affect hinge alignment over time.
Will the Benks iPhone Ultra case scratch the device?
No. The interior surfaces of the Benks iPhone Ultra front frame case and back panel case are lined to protect your device finish at every contact point. The cases are fitted to the iPhone Ultra body without internal protrusions that could mark the frame or back panel. The tempered glass screen protector uses an adhesive layer that bonds cleanly to the cover display without leaving residue on removal.
Is the Benks iPhone Ultra case compatible with wireless charging and MagSafe?
Yes. The Benks iPhone Ultra case set is designed to maintain full compatibility with wireless charging. The back panel case does not block wireless charging coils. If the iPhone Ultra supports MagSafe or a magnetic accessory ecosystem, the back panel case is compatible with magnetic alignment. Specific MagSafe pull force figures will be confirmed once device specifications are finalized.
How thick does the iPhone Ultra case make the device?
The Benks iPhone Ultra case set uses a slim-profile construction on both the front frame and back panel cases. The cases add minimal thickness to the device body, preserving the folded profile of the iPhone Ultra for normal pocket carry. Exact thickness figures will be published once we have final device dimensions confirmed. If you have used the Benks ArmorAir case on a standard iPhone, the back panel construction follows a similar slim philosophy.
How is a foldable iPhone case different from a standard iPhone case?
A standard iPhone case is a single piece that wraps one continuous body. A foldable iPhone Ultra case must account for two separate panels that open and close, a hinge that requires clearance, and two display surfaces that need protection. The Benks iPhone Ultra set solves this with a two-case system — front frame and back panel — that protects the device when folded without restricting the folding action when open. This is fundamentally different from a single-piece case and requires tighter dimensional precision to fit correctly.
Can I use the Benks iPhone Ultra case without the screen protector?
Yes. The front frame case and back panel case function independently of the tempered glass screen protector. However, the cover screen of the iPhone Ultra is the primary contact surface when the phone is in your pocket or placed face-down, and is the most likely surface to accumulate scratches over time. We recommend using the screen protector as part of the complete set for full cover screen protection. The inner foldable display benefits from its own separate inner screen film, which is not included in this set.
How does Benks foldable case experience compare to Samsung Galaxy Z Fold cases?
Benks has developed Kevlar® fiber cases for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup, giving us direct foldable case engineering experience before the iPhone Ultra launch. The two-piece construction, hinge clearance design, and precision fit requirements for foldable cases are carried over from our Z Fold development work. The key difference in this first iPhone Ultra release is that hinge guard coverage — which we offer for Z Fold — is not yet included, with an updated version in development.
