This product states it is only compatible with the iPad Pro, but I bought the 11" model to see if it works with the iPad Air 5 as well.
It does work with the iPad Air but you need to remove some of the plastic case around the fingerprint reader on the operating button. Without this mod it is very difficult for the button to get a good read on your finger print. However with this small mod done the keyboard case workers perfectly.
The BluTooth connection is good and strong and the keyboard works perfectly, but it could benefit from being backlit.
The trackpad is ok, but it is not as responsive as the directly connected one on the Apple magic keyboard. It feels a bit laggy, and can sometimes not respond. The trackpad is also small and feels quite flexible especially when physically clicking in the centre of the pad. You cannot make a physical click at the top of the trackpad either. So in short the trackpad is serviceable but no where near the best.
I love the pencil holder and the fact that the keyboard can be removed from the stand which is very practical. However the stand design makes it difficult to use on your lap, and on a desk it needs about the space of 1 and a 1/2 iPads when connected to the keyboard.
It is a great case and for the money is really very good value, however it is not without its shortcomings.
