The Story Behind Benks: Why Benks Could Make the Best Possible iPhone Accessories?
Jeffers, the founder of Benks, born in the 1980s, has had a knack for spotting opportunities since young. In high school, Jeffers earned his first pot of gold by selling in-game equipment. He is a visionary tech geek and a brand builder with dreams and aspirations.
Fresh out of school, he immersed himself in forums every day, absorbing the latest news and meeting like-minded "tech buddies." At that time, Jeffers had a Sharp phone, but soon he found it was hard to read the messages in hard sunlight and many of his friends in forums had the same struggle. He started to be on the lookout for a solution but it ended in nothing.
The idea of making a high quality screen protector was initiated. Quickly, he realized that it was not simple. He spent a year visiting nearly 50 factories and eventually found that existed ones could not meet his quality requirements. Without funds or resources, he bravely took loan to invest in his own factory to produce products that exceeded the industry standards. In 2008, the industry's first anti-reflective film was launched.
In 2009, he opened his first online store providing details on installation, but many users still found it difficult. Listened attentively, he developed a patented tool kit and that’s game-changing. Benks persisted and differentiated itself through high quality and innovation. That year, Benks sales exceeded one million.
In 2012, tempered glass protectors became the mainstream in the United States. Jeffers found that its scratch resistance was greatly improved, but the strikingly high single-piece price prevented most from getting one. Inspired, he decided to invest and launch a tempered glass protector popularity storm to make it accessible to more users, he revolutionized the industry and this move helped establish Benks as a major player in the screen protector market.
Thus, in 2016, Corning, the world-famous glass manufacturer, approached us as the only authorized brand in mainland China. Over the years, Benks has continued to evolve and expand its product offerings. Quickly gained attention for its quality products, Benks was invited to become an Apple MFi ecosystem developer and authorized to use Kevlar® fiber by DuPont for phone cases production. Today, Benks is a global brand with a presence in over 70+ districts with a loyal following of customers who trust the brand to provide them with the best possible digital accessories.
All of these efforts stem from Jeffers' passion for products. His insistence on creating his own brand, always taking users first, and keeping producing high-quality products is the story behind Benks.
